Emerging pop artist Ronan Maclean just wrapped up his headline tour ‘THE MANIAC TOUR’, performing all along the East Coast of Australia. The tour was in support of his long-awaited debut EP, THE MANIAC EP, which was released on August 29th – Listen here! ‘THE MANIAC EP’ showcases Maclean’s versatility and strong pop music instincts, blending inspirations across three distinct tracks—all written, produced, and performed by him. What sets this release apart is the creative process behind it: Most of the EP was recorded in the backseat of his car, a DIY approach that’s been gaining attention on social media.

“It’s called THE MANIAC EP because every song is unique. I’m just experimenting, making whatever I think is cool,” says Ronan. “The one thing I can promise is that every song will be stuck in your head.”

While rooted in pop, the EP moves through a range of styles—from the punk-influenced energy of “I HOPE U NEVER KNOW HER” to the 80s dance-inspired “MANIAC” to a country-pop crossover called “TRAIN TRACK LINE”.

Originally from Brisbane, Maclean has built a loyal following through consistent releases and an authentic, hands-on approach to his craft. Previous singles like “Love Situation” and “robbery” received praise for their sharp production and catchy writing. Maclean has performed on ABC radio Gold Coast and has received support from Triple J.
